Your Surgical Team:

 

These are the members of the surgical team who may care for you.

Your Surgeon is the leader of the team. He or she will meet with you to discuss your medical situation, options, and answer any questions. They will help you to make the best decision for you. Your surgeon will perform your procedure or operation.

 

Surgical residents are licensed physicians who have completed an accredited medical school or school of osteopathy and are studying to become surgeons. They will provide care for you under the direction of your surgeon.

 

They will be involved with your care under the direction of your surgeon through activities such as:

 

  •    * Preoperative history and physical exams
  •    * Assisting during operative procedures -hospital care and consultation
  •    * Trauma and emergency treatment
  •    * Postoperative and outpatient visits
  •  

Highly experienced Physician Assistants and Nurses within our surgical practice provide diagnostic and therapeutic health care under the direction of your attending physician.

 

 

Such care may include:

 

  •  * History and physical exams
  •  * Hospital rounds
  •  * Minor procedures
  •  * Patient education
  •  

Your health care team is complemented by our staff of professional nurses, medical assistants, receptionists and secretaries. Together, we are committed to providing you, our patient, with the best possible surgical care.

  

 

Emergencies:

We are always available for in-hospital and out-patient postoperative concerns.

After hours, weekends, and holidays, your call will be processed by our answering service and forwarded to the physician on call for follow-up.

 

 

Insurance:

Our Patient Accounts Office is responsible for the physician fees and for billing your insurance company. Arrangements for paying on your account can be made through this office. Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, MasterCard or Visa.

 

If you have questions regarding your bill, please contact our Patient Accounts Office. Specific questions regarding insurance coverage should be directed to your insurance company.
